It's Cold Outside

    Nerios walked along side Ais, his mind beginning to calm down as the two continued on. Despite not wearing a coat, the yellow gro was more than comfortable, his ruffled, curly yellow pelt keeping in all of the heat his body emitted. The same couldn’t be said for his ears however, the nude auditory limbs aching as the air nipped at him. This was unknown knowledge to him however, for the tips of his ears burned, causing him to give them a quick little whip every once in a while to cool them down.  It was obvious the adult was flustered; his face burning with an orange hue while his green eyes darting from the path, onto Ais’s face, then back to the path. He’d recently befriended the gro, and the fact he’d agreed to take a stroll with him sent him in a flustered frenzy.  

    “So uh… yeah. Normally, when I get stressed out, walks help bring me back. You know what I mean?” He rambled, giving a shy smile to the grey biped. Ais nodded, a flushed look too on his face, yet his expression was more of a pained smile… It’d almost looked forced. Ais had given the yellow gro a quick nod, growling out an “Mhm!” 

 This set of actions caused the yellow gro to become anxious. Was Nerios annoying him? Did he not want to talk to him? Had he upset the male in some way? Thoughts piled up in his mind, causing him to blush even more. Then it’d hit him! 

    “A-…Are you cold?” Nerios, his voice quite soft and caring. He’d looked up to see a surprised expression shoot on the grey and blue wyngro. Quickly, his face switched to a shy smile, his shoulders going up in defense. 

    “N-no! I mean…Well… y-yeah, but it-t’s okay!” He exclaimed, nodding his head, as if to convince himself that it was alright. The quad gave him a raised brow, opening his mouth to continue. 

    “I know Fire magic- kinda- but, I can try to warm you up if you’re really cold.” Nerios added in suggestion, taking a seat on the cold snow so he could face Ais once more. The grey adult shook his head, giving Nerios a friendly smile before repeating “r-really. It-t’s okay. I’t-ts not too-“ 

    Before Ais could finish his sentence Nerios’s body had pressed up against his. A feathered arm wrapped around the grey gro’s back, brown claws gripping at his hoodie as the yellow gro threw his head over the cold male’s shoulder. It wasn’t long before the yellow gro’s body began to glow a soft red, an acceptable amount of heat emitting from his body. Nerios could feel Ais tense up, quickly feeling him relax as his paw was brought around to the warm gro’s back. Eventually, once the the independent fire learning gro had finally gotten hang of increasing his body temperature, he’d open his eyes, finally realizing what he’d done. If only it were more possible for his face to grow more flushed. He was ready to cry an apology, preparing to pull away before the grip on his back tightened, the chilled gro refusing to let go. 

    “T-thanks…” He muttered, pulling away from the yellow gro slowly. His face revealed that he regretted the action, watching as his body began to shiver once the cold wind blew past. 

    “Wa-... Might as well head back home… it’s pretty cold out here, and you don’t have a big enough jacket for this type of weather…” Nerios hummed, clearing his throat as he rubbed the back of his neck. Ais gave him a firm nod, the two adult gros turning around and following their tracks back to Wynsiph.

Long story short, Ais got cold and Nerios wanted to be a nice gro and give him a warm hug to keep him from freezing his tail off! Maybe the gesture was... a bit much.
